Kara Lorenz was installed as our first Student Lion into the FaST Lions Club on November 15, 2006 by Past District Governor Rocky DeMarino. Student Lion Kara will participate in all activities and will report back to the club on youth activities in the community. Welcome Student Lion Kara!

Sunset Cruise

On October 11, members of the FaST Lions and their guests boarded the "California Sunset" Steamboat docked in the Suisun Marina and headed out to the Bay. The cruise was complete with cocktails, buffet, beautiful sunset, and great company.

Frank Seidel, 1st Vice President of Lions in Sight of CA & NV, speaking to us on some of their recent clinic trips to Mexico and other countries. While there they give eye exams and prescribe recycled eyeglasses free of charge to those in need. We collect and sort eyeglasses several times a year and deliver them to the warehouse in Vallejo.

Guest Speaker Shauna Manina from the Vacaville Reporter speaking on Newspapers in Education and Partners in Achieving Literacy. They partner with the Solano County Library Foundation to distribute newspapers to schools. She is looking to expand the program's sponsorship.
